Teen Picks August 2016
Best Books for Teens August 2016 Picks

Intro

This month’s teen list includes the much anticipated sequel to An Ember in the Ashes.  Just like its best selling predecessor, A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir will surely be devoured by teens and YA book lovers. How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather came out at the end of July and is already hitting it off big with readers.  It’s sort of a Mean Girls meets the Salem Witch trials paranormal horror. Sweet!!  Also, March: Book Three looks outstanding.  This conclusion to a graphic novel trilogy wraps up a first-hand tale of key events in the Civil Rights Movement.  Critics and readers just can’t say enough about the quality and valuable accounts related in this story.

Seeing stars?  Professional book reviewers only award a star to exceptional books.  More than one star means experts from multiple organizations felt the book was outstanding.
